Taylor was the best man. Mrs. Wilkie chose a brown marquisette gown and the bridegroom’s mother wore black sheer. Both had corsages of gardenias. A wedding breakfast was served after the wedding at 1629 Hertel Avenue.

Lenz, retired developer May 11, 1913 - Feb. 4, 2005 Herman R. Lenz, a retired developer, died Friday in Shell Point Village, a retirement community in Fort Myers, Fla., after a brief illness. He was 91. Born and raised in Amherst, Mr. Lenz served in the Army for several years. He partnered with his brother to form Lenz Development Corp. They built and operated the Coachman's Inn in Clarence until the mid-1960s. He built and developed the Old Red Mill Inn in Clarence, which he operated with his sons until 1989. Always looking for new projects, Mr. Lenz built homes in Williamsville and Clarence, including the Hunting Valley development. During the 1960s, he operated Lenz Houseboat Builders in Gasport. Mr. Lenz and his wife, Ora, lived in Fort Myers after his retirement in 1982. She died in 1997.
