
Obituary of Sarah Wright (Syracuse Daily Journal, 20 May 1897, page 6)
Mrs. Judson J. Wright died at her home, 409 Schuyler st, Wednesday morning, after an illness of five months. Mrs. Wright was born in the town of Victory, Cayuga county, in August, 1812. She was a charter and prominent member of the Geddes Congregational church, and was a member of the old wooden First Presbyterian church, which stood on the present site of McCarthy's retail store. She was a nurse for a number of years, and had cared for the members of many prominent families, notably the Geres, Porters and Beldens. Mrs. Wright is survived by her husband, Judson J., a son, Willis J., and a daughter, Mrs. Charles Wilkie, and a brother, Franklin Grant, of Erie St., all of this city.
