| Obituary of Adolph C. Hirsch (Riverton New Era, 3 May 1935, page 4) ADOLPH C. HIRSCH Adolph C. Hirsch, a resident of Palmyra for many years, died at his home, 738 Highland avenue early Tuesday morning. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at three o'clock at the Snover Funeral Home with the Rev. George Lockett, pastor of the Central Baptist Church, Palmyra, officiating. Interment was made in Morgan Cemetery. Mr. Hirsch is survived by his widow, Mrs. Caroline Hirsch, and two daughters, Miss Martha Hirsch and Miss Katherine Hirsch. The latter makes her home in New York City. |

| Wedding announcement of Adolph Hirsch and Caroline Lakey (Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, 28 Dec 1894, page 8) The storm made no difference with the very pretty though informal wedding which took place at the home of Mrs. Catharine W. Lakey on Vienna Street, Palmyra, yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock. The bridal pair were Miss Carolyn Rogers Lakey, of of Palmyra, and Adolph C. Hirsch, formerly of Rochester, but now engaged in business in Buffalo. The ceremony was performed by Rev J.R. Henderson, pastor of the Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Hirsch took the first train for the West. Among the guests from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Raikes, Mr. and Mrs. C.K. Summerhays, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. | After-Wedding Reception story (Buffalo Evening News, 15 Feb 1895, page 2) After-Wedding Reception. The second and last after-wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph C. Hirsch was held yesterday afternoon and evening at their pretty home on Albany street. Flowers, palms and simlax tastefully decorated the rooms and tea and coffee were served by Miss Moss and Miss Badger at a pretty side table lighted by an orange-shaded banquet lamp. Mr. and Mrs. Hirsch received both afternoon and evening. The bride, who was a well-known and popular young society woman of Palmyra, wore her wedding gown of pearl-covered silk with white chiffon trimmings and white gloves. Mrs. F. B. Voght, Miss Hirsch and Miss Ida Hirsch assisted. Among the out-of-town guests were Miss Corning and Miss Hop of Palmyra and Mrs. Dorrow of Rochester. |
