I, Thomas Wright Spofford, being of the age of 61 years hereby apply for membership in this Society by right of lineal descent in the following line from Abner Hitchcock, who was born in Springfield, Mass on the 17 day of Nov. 1721 and died in Marshall, New York on the ___ day of 1803 and who assisted in establishing American Independence.
I was born in North East Township, County of Erie, State of Pennsylvania on the 20th day of August 1885.
1) I am the son of James L. Spofford, born 2/20/1851 died 10/20/1915 and his wife Alice Hitchcock born 9/11/1853, died 4/7/1936, married 1878.
2) grandson of Myron D. Hitchcock, born 1804 died 1869, and his wife Sarah Wright born ___, died 1877, married 1834.
