| Obituary of Jacob Bonnell (Grant County [WI] Herald, 24 Jan 1887, page 4) DIED. - Thursday morning, Jan. 20, 1887, at his home in the town of Mt. Ida, Jacob Bonnell, aged about fifty years. The cause of his death was a cancer which made its appearance on his neck about six months ago, and from which he has suffered intensely during the past few weeks. Mr. Bonnell was an old resident of Mt. Ida and was a well-to-do farmer. He has had property in Dakota which has called him there frequently. Some years ago he had a cancer cut out of his lip, and has had no further trouble from it until the more malignant growth came which caused his death. He leaves a widow and four children. His funeral was held at the Mt. Ida church Saturday. |
