JAN or JOHANNES, son of Jacob, m. first Johanna Clara Kleyn, widow of N. N. Metselaer, May 4, 1707, in Albany; and secondly, Eva, dau. of Hendrick Brouwer. He was b. July 30, 1684, d. Dec. 20, 1766. In 1710 he was High Constable of Albany; in 1735 Voorlezer of the church in Schenectady. His wife Eva, d. Oct. 2, 1747, a. 45 ys., 6 m., 3 d.
