| 1006 | A New Year, a New Name For Bride Ginger Power (Roselle Register, 19 Jan 1968, page A2) | A New Year, a New Name For Bride Ginger Power One of 1968’s first brides is Ginger Elizabeth Power, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Power, 354 S. Barron St., Bensenville. In a 5 o’clock service Jan 6., Ginger was married to Steven R. Wieczor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Wieczor of Chicago. The double ring service took place in Zion Lutheran Church, Bensenville, with Rev. Daniel Fuelling officiating. Large white chrysanthemums and small mums, both in white, decorated the altar as the bride approached with her father. Her wedding gown was of satin with lace inserts and featured a long train that fell from the neckline. A fingertip veil and corsage of gardenias with red rose buds completed her ensemble. Maid of honor was Christine Kolkau of Bensenville, fiancee of the bride’s brother, and bridesmaids were the groom’s cousin, Shirley Jacobs of Bensenville, the bride’s cousins, Jenine Daletski of Joliet and Sandra Power of Bensenville, and a friend from River Grove, Stephanie Smith. All wore floor-length identical gowns of royal blue velvet, matching velvet headpieces and carried white carnations and red roses tied with white streamers. Both mothers chose brocade coat and dress ensembles, Mrs. Power’s in rose and Mrs. Wieczor’s in gold and pink. Both had corsages of white orchids. Pat Halprin of Chicago was the groom’s best man and ushers were the bride’s brother, A 1.C William G. Power of Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, her cousin, Albert Power of Bensenville, Doug Bryer of Chicago and Al Peglo, a cousin of the groom from Kansas. The newlyweds were greeted by 175 guests during a reception at Petricca’s Restaurant in Chicago. The new Mrs. Wieczor was graduated from Fenton High School, Bensenville, and her bridegroom from Lane Tech High School. They are now making their home in Bellwood while the bride is completing a special nurses’ training course at Tritton College. After her graduating in August, the couple will take a belated honeymoon. The groom is with Pitney Bowes. |

| 1046 | A New Year, a New Name For Bride Ginger Power (Roselle Register, 19 Jan 1968, page A2) | A New Year, a New Name For Bride Ginger Power One of 1968’s first brides is Ginger Elizabeth Power, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
