Campbell-Corbin Wedding Is Held
SANBORN, Oct. 5 - The marriage of Miss Marjorie Corbin, daughter of the late Mrs. Ruth Hooter, West street, to Mr. Earle Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford C. Campbell, West street, was solemnized Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Sanborn Baptist church parsonage.
The Rev. Frank N. Taft officiated at the double ring ceremony. Only the immediate families attended.
The bride wore a floor length gown of white marquisette cut in Colonial style with rounded neckline. Here shoulder length veil was draped from a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a prayer book with an orchid and streamers to the floor.
The maid of honor, the bride's cousin and only attendant, Miss Mary Alice Beakman, wore a sky blue floor length gown of taffeta made on the same lines as that worn by the bride. She carried a Colonial bouquet of pink rosebuds and baby breath. Mr. Leon Campbell, brother of the groom, was the best man.
Mrs. Ida C. Beakman, aunt of the bride, wore a Copenhagen blue suit with black accessories and corsage of pink rosebuds. The groom's mother wore dark green with black accessories and corsage of yellow rosebuds.
Following the ceremony a dinner for the wedding party was held at the Park hotel, Lockport. Later a reception was held in the Baptist church parlors, Sanborn.
The couple left on a wedding trip to Northern Canada and the Adirondack mountains. The bride chose for traveling a wine colored suit with black accessories and orchid corsage.
The bride was honored at ten showers. They are making their home in Lockport.
