Obituary of Alice A. Meyers (Tonawanda News, 22 Aug 1981, page 2)

MEYERS-Alice A., (née Ohmes) Meyers, 77 of Tonawanda, New York, Friday (August 21, 1981) after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Tonawanda, she was the wife of the late Carl C. Meyers. Mrs. Meyers was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and the F.O.E. Aerie 1411 R.E.A.C.T. in North Tonawanda.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Andrew (Georgia) Popovice of Tonawanda. A brother, Harold (Mary) Ohmes of Orange City, Florida; 3 nieces, Mrs. Daniel (Alice) Gavrila of Grand Island, Mrs. David (Georgiana) Moses of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Gene (Mary Susan) Daul of Hamlin, New York and 5 grand nephews, Daniel and Martin Gavrila, Christopher, Kevin and Lance Daul.
The family will be present from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday at Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour Sts., Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Marilyn Washburn officiating. Interment at Elmlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Salem United Church of Christ are preferred by the family.
