Ethel G. Vought [sic] Zinter
Private services for Ethel G. Vought Zinter, 94, Mount Vernon, Wash., were Aug. 29 in Mount Vernon. She died Aug. 27 in her home. She was a founding member and president of the International Travel Study Club, Indianapolis, and served as chairman of its speaker's bureau. She also was a life member of its Artman Council, the organization's board of directors. She was an honorary member and former president of the Woman's Department Club, Indianapolis. She was an Indiana State Accredited Flower Show judge, and was a member and past president of the Brookside Garden Club, Indianapolis. She also had been a member of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, Indianapolis, more than 50 years, and was former president of its Bethany Class. For about five years during the Depression, she organized and directed food drives for needy Indianapolis residents at Christmas. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., she lived in Indianapolis many years. She was a graduate of Buffalo State Normal Teachers College. She was the widow of Jules G. Zinter. Survivors: son, Jules Zinter; five grandchildren.
