| Obituary of Mary L. Ohmes (North Tonawanda Evening News, 19 Aug 1940, page 6) MRS. MARY L. OHMES Mrs. Mary L. Ohmes, 60, died this morning at her home, 35 Linwood avenue, North Tonawanda. She was a life-long resident and member of the North Tonawanda Church of Christ, the Women’s Relief Corps, Ladies of the G. A. R. and the Protective Home Circle. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carl Meyers and Georgia; a son Harold; a granddaughter, Alice Kumm, all of the Tonawandas; a brother, Albert Lacey, Seattle, Wash., and five sisters: Mrs. Edward Pletcher, Kettle Falls, Wash., Mrs. A. J. Jaffrey, San Diego, Calif., Mrs. C. Pletcher and Mrs. B. Bautsch, Niagara Falls, and Mrs. A. Brock, North Tonawanda. Rites will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the residence. Interment will be in the city cemetery. |
