KENOSHA - Marilyn Tyler Hughes, 80, of Kenosha, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. She was born March 7, 1942, to Frank and Marion (nee Callan) Tyler in Chicago, IL. Her early life was spent in Elmwood Park, IL. Following graduation from Trinity High School, she attended Rosary College, River Forest, IL, and also University of Wisconsin Parkside receiving her Bachelor's degree. Marilyn was a very gifted artist and used her talents working as an interior decorator and a color consultant.
Marilyn was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dover and enjoyed meeting with her book club. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and was on a bowling league for many years. She was also a gifted equestrian.

Charles W. Hughes, Jr 1941—2017
Charles W. Hughes ("Bill"), Jr., 76, of Freeport passed away on September 26, 2017 in Freeport IL. He was the son of the late Lucille (Mest) Hughes and the late Charles W. Hughes ("Bud") Sr. He was born April 1, 1941 in Chicago, IL, grew up in Oak Park IL and raised his family in Plainfield IL. He was President & CEO of Forest Park National Bank and served on the board of The Altenheim Senior Retirement Community. He also served as President of the Forest Park Chamber of Commerce. He had served in the Army Reserves from 1962-1968. Bill married Kathy Heiserman on May 24, 1986 and they had 31 wonderful years together. Bill was an avid horseman and bred quarter horses for almost 40 years. He was a member of the AQHA and spent many years attending the annual Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus OH. He loved Arizona and we all knew he was a cowboy at heart. The best years of his life were spent in Cave Creek AZ, organizing trail rides, playing Santa Claus to the neighborhood every Christmas, and celebrating life with his beloved family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, grand-daughter Ivy, and mother-in-law Frances Heiserman. He is survived by his wife Kathy; daughters Catherine of Chicago IL, Jennifer (Adam) Drinkall of Milledgeville IL; son Michael of AZ; brothers Larry (Bonnie) of Freeport IL, Tom (Martha) of Mt. Morris IL, sister Mary Ann (Michael) O'Brien of Poway CA.; grandchildren Lili, June & Findley Drinkall of Milledgeville and Kayley, Ashley and Zack Hughes.
Visitation will be from 4:00pm – 8:00pm on Friday, September 29 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Funeral will be Saturday, September 30 from 11:00 am to Noon at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will be held via private family burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Bill's name to Lewy Body Dementia Association research at lbda.org.

Miss Marilyn Joan Tyler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Tyler of Elmwood Park, and Charles W. Hughes Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. hughes Sr. of Oak Park, were married at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mest of Chadwick are the grandparents of the bridegroom.
Officiating at the ceremony in St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in River Forest was Father Truder.
The bride wore a champagne foile dress, styled with a lace bodice and overskirt. Her headpiece was a beaded pillbox with a finger-tip veil. She carried white orchids and stephanotis on a white mother of pearl prayer book.
Maid of honor was Miss Doris Lane of Elmwood Park, and bridesmaid was Mrs. Hook of Grays Lake, sister of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Mary Ann Hughes, sister of the bridegroom.
Best man was John Freeman of Oak Park, and groomsman was Larry Hughes, brother of the bride.
After the ceremony, a breakfast and reception was held.
