Voght of Winter Haven died of heart failure Thursday (April 21, 2005) at home. He was 84. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., on July 24, 1920, he came to Winter Haven from there 23 years ago. He was a supervisor for the board of parole for the state of New York. Hew as an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Voght was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Voght. Bayley of the Central Park Methodist Episcopal church. The bride wore ivory crepe meteor with silk net, shadow lace and pearl trimming. Her veil was fastened with lilies of the valley and she carried a shower bouquet of bride roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Frances Wilkie, as her sister's maid of honor, wore champagne crepe de chine with sapphire blue velvet and corsage bouquet of safrano roses. Frederick W. Winkler was best man and the bride's niece, Miss Frances E. Wilkie, was flower girl, carrying primroses and rosebuds. Miss Ethel G. Voght played the wedding music. The ceremony took place before the fireplace, which was banked with palms and poinsettia. Mr. and Mrs. Voght have left for an eastern trip and after February 1st will be at home at No. 608 Humboldt parkway.
